How we handle your data.
Birth details are personal. This page explains what we collect, why we need it and who handles it.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Meridian Compass LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company at 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. The company operates this site as Our Life by Design. Contact hello@ourlifebydesign.co.
Before you reserve
You can read the page and watch the founders' sample without entering personal information. To reserve, the intake asks for each person's first name, date of birth, optional birth time, city and country of birth. It also includes an optional note about anything you want the reading to hold. You confirm that your partner gave permission for you to share their details.
Once both people's details are entered, and before any payment, the site casts your two charts to show you one sentence from them. That cast runs in memory on our server. Nothing from it is stored or logged.
When you submit the intake, birth details are encrypted before checkout and stored in our private production queue. They are not sent to Stripe. If you leave without completing payment, the encrypted intake is deleted within 30 days.
If you came from an advertisement, campaign tags in the link may be kept with the intake and reservation. They tell us which advertisement led to a reservation. We do not send the intake details to Meta.
When you reserve
Stripe handles the $10 payment and collects your email address. The checkout also saves the payment method for the one authorized $69 charge described beside the button and in the Terms of Service. We receive the email, payment status, Stripe customer and payment method references, and campaign tags attached to the checkout. We never receive or store your card number.
Birthplace search and storage
When you type a birth city, that city search is sent to Geoapify. Geoapify returns matching places, coordinates and the local time zone. Names, birth dates, birth times and notes are not sent to Geoapify.
Birth details are encrypted before they are stored. The encryption key is kept separately from the private storage. Someone with access to the storage alone cannot read them.
What we use the information for
We use the information to cast two Human Design charts, prepare the reading, initiate the one authorized remaining charge when the reading is ready to send and deliver the finished film and PDF. We do not use birth details, names or intake notes for advertising.
Services that handle information
- Stripe processes the $10 reservation, keeps the authorized payment method and processes the one remaining $69 charge.
- Vercel hosts the site, encrypted intake and production queue.
- Anthropic receives first names, pronouns, relationship stage, the optional relationship note and information derived from the two charts to draft the reading. Anthropic does not receive the buyer's email, payment information or the raw birth dates, times or places.
- ElevenLabs receives the finished narration text to create the audio. ElevenLabs does not receive the intake form, payment information or raw birth details.
- Resend delivers reservation, intake and order emails, including the founder's review notification.
- Geoapify suggests birth cities and supplies their coordinates and time zones while you complete the intake.
- Meta receives page-view, checkout-start and reservation signals from its pixel. After Stripe confirms a reservation, our server sends the same reservation signal with a one-way hash of the buyer's email. The hash helps Meta match the reservation to an advertisement and avoid counting the browser and server copies twice. Meta does not receive names, birth details, birthplaces, birth times or intake notes.
Advertising measurement and your choice
Meta measurement helps us see which advertisements lead to checkout starts and paid reservations. The browser signal can include the page address, network address, browser and device information, an advertisement click identifier, and Meta's _fbp and _fbc cookies. We remove order references and Stripe session references from the page address before Meta loads.
For visitors in the United States, Meta measurement runs unless Global Privacy Control is on or the visitor turns measurement off under Your privacy choices. Outside the United States, Meta measurement waits for permission. A choice applies to that browser and can be changed from the footer.
We do not sell personal information for money. Meta advertising measurement may count as sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state privacy laws. We treat Global Privacy Control as a request to turn Meta measurement off in that browser.
When advertising measurement is allowed, our server sends Meta a one-way hash of the buyer's email with the Lead and Purchase events after Stripe confirms payment. If Meta is unavailable, we keep that event in private storage and retry it. The stored event is deleted when Meta accepts it or after seven days, whichever comes first.
Anonymous product measurement
We keep anonymous counts of page visits, sample plays, reservation-button taps, intake starts, completed date fields, form submissions and Stripe redirects. Form-submission counts include people who leave without paying. Each count is an empty marker with an event name and page version. Session storage prevents the same browser tab from adding the same count twice. No name, email, order reference, browser address or birth detail is attached.
The links in your delivery email pass through our server before opening the file. We record the day, whether the film or the book was opened, and which delivery the link belonged to. No name, email, or device detail is recorded with it.
How long we keep it
Birth details for an unpaid reservation are deleted within 30 days. After payment, birth details stay in the production queue while the reading is prepared and are deleted after delivery. A failed Meta reservation event stays in private storage for no more than seven days. Reservation and payment records are kept as needed for refunds, accounting and legal obligations. Stripe and Meta keep their own records under their privacy terms.
Your partner's rights
Your partner's birth details belong to them. Either person can ask us to show, correct or erase their details. Email hello@ourlifebydesign.co. We may keep transaction information that the law requires us to retain.
What we never do
- We never sell birth details, names, notes or email addresses.
- We never publish a customer's reading without written permission.
- We never use intake information to target advertisements.
The founders' sample uses Francesco and Thanya's own names and reading. They chose to publish it as the product example.
Adults only
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
